The Car Barn Shops are located in the heart of the shopping
district of Sewickley. The building postal address is
409 Broad Street,
Sewickley, Pennsylvania 15143. The building derives its unique
name from its former owner and occupant -- Gormley
Chevrolet. The
building was extensively renovated
in the early 1990's. The design of the renovation was
intended to preserve the open spaces which
characterized the
Chevy dealership. The building's investors originally
envisioned the primary occupants to be retail shops; hence
the interior windows which adorn each office, ideal for
displaying wares for sale. This would also explain the
apparent misnomar in
the building's name. Nowadays,
the building's tenants include Merrill Lynch,
Indigo
Branded Environments, and
Treehouse Software.
